Appointment Announcement: Dr Melissa Poon

Dr. Melissa Poon has been appointed as a member of the Programme Advisory Panel (PAP) and Subject Matter Expert of the Subject Advisory Panel (SAP) for Sustainability Risk Management at The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB).

In these roles, Dr. Poon will contribute to the development of the Professional Level of the Enhanced Competency Framework on Green and Sustainable Finance (ECF-GSF), an initiative approved by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). This framework establishes the standards for ESG risk expertise in the financial sector, highlighting the growing importance of sustainability risk as a core financial and regulatory priority.

Dr. Poon’s extensive experience in ESG risk management, sustainability reporting, corporate governance, audit, and compliance positions them well to help shape industry-leading knowledge and competencies.
